The SLXC boys performed well yesterday in their race against Milford and Walled Lake Western.  The boys earned a split decision.  They won the meet against Walled Lake Western 17 to 44, but dropped a loss against Milford 19 to 37.

 

The Milford boys went out at their signature aggressive Possum Hollow pace.  Steven Bosworth and the lead runner from Walled Lake Western went with the Milford boys.  The Western boy (Ryan Noonan) was unable to maintain the aggressive pace, and by the end of the race, he had fallen back to tenth place.

Four SLXC boys finished ahead of the top Western boy.

 

A pair of Milford boys (Williams and O'Roarke) finished the race with a time  0f 17:47. Bosworth was behind them with a time of 18:04, ahead of the third Milford finisher.  Alex Jowett finished at 18:34 ahead of Milford's five man.

 

Reiner Kandt (18:46) and Miles Albert (18:49) finished in 8th and 9th place ahead of the Milford six man and also ahead of Western's top finisher.

 

The rest of South Lyon's TOP SEVEN, Luke Heisel (19:20), Nico Sobczak (19:29), Avian Valencia-Moore (19:29) as well as Alex Mueller (19:43), Logan Duncan (19:55), and JP Mavel (20:06)  finished before the third Walled Lake Western finisher.

 

Course Best performances were marked by Miles Albert, Alex Bransch, Logan Duncan, Tommy Lykins, Ian Maltarich, JP Mavel, Alex Mueller, Tommy Nielson, Matthew Richard, and Nico Sobczak.
